KT Wiz's homegrown starting pitcher So Hyeong-jun (22) has started pitching training again with the goal of returning this season.

The KT team said on the 22nd, "So Hyeong-jun resumed formal pitching training on the 17th by throwing 20 pitches in the bullpen at Jeonbuk Iksan Stadium, and on the 21st, he threw 30 pitches." They added, "He mainly pitched fastballs, and his speed was not measured."

KT manager Lee Kang-cheol said ahead of the 2024 professional baseball home game against Kiwoom Heroes at Suwon KT Wiz Park, "So Hyeong-jun seems to have a strong will to return this season," and added, "We are just watching for now."

He continued, "If he returns, even if it's late, it will be a great help to the team's strength," adding, "It would be perfect if he returns around mid-September."
